Connections In Grief

Peer Support Groups

Lory's Place provides regularly scheduled support group sessions for children and adults, allowing interaction with peers who have experienced similar losses, allowing them to feel less alone.

Lory's Place is a safe harbor.

Created especially for children, and the adults in their lives, it models the renowned Dougy Center in Portland, Oregon. Our programs use a peer-to-peer approach that helps all ages work through grief. There are programs for those that have had a family member or important friend die and an anticipatory grief program for children and adults who are expecting the death of a loved one due to illness or disease. These age-appropriate, regularly scheduled peer support sessions provide the genuine understanding, empathy and advice that help rebuild confidence and give hope for the future.

Camp Lifetimes

Camp Lifetimes is a summer day camp focused on fellowship and fun for any child from kindergarten through 5th grade who has experienced the death of someone significant in their life. It is our hope that each child will leave camp with new friends who understand and know their story, along with the encouragement to continue to work through their grief.

Thanks to the generous support of individuals and our community, registration continues to be offered to all participants without cost.
