Over 200 local children and families come to Lory’s Place filled with grief and heartache. Lory’s Place offers a warm, safe place for children to share and heal together. From places of chaos and uncertainty, the children and families of Lory’s Place learn to cope with their loss in healthy ways.
There is no charge for the services that Lory’s Place provides. From helping at the scene of an accident; to holding a child’s hand as they say good-bye at a funeral; to teaching friends and relatives how to provide support; it is only through the generosity of individuals, foundations, and companies that Lory’s Place can continue to operate and provide services.
The Lady Skipper Regatta on August 22, 2010 is our single largest fundraising event to benefit Lory’s Place. We hope you’ll join us for a day of fun that will also make a powerful difference in the lives of grieving children. There are several ways to participate:
